The effects of cage type, oviposition time and egg storage period on the egg quality characteristics of laying hens

Egg has valuable nutrients however; these may be affected by many factors. In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of cage type, oviposition time and egg storage period on quality characteristics laying hens. A total 410 eggs were collected from unenriched enriched cages in morning afternoon. After weighed, they stored at 21oC 20% relative humidity until 30th day storage. It determined that had higher shell breaking strength, albumen ash pH & lipid yolk lower weight loss, index color compared with eggs. Morning highest loss lowest weight, height diameter. Dry matter protein dry lower, while than those observed important factor for characteristics. The effect interaction should not neglected.
